Randy Travis Was Arrested For Drunkenness In Public

Randy Travis Was Arrested For Drunkenness In Public: the singer Randy Travis Sanger was arrested Monday morning on charges of suspicion of public intoxication.

As Sanger police officer observed a black 1998 Pontiac parked in front of First Baptist Church of Sanger and early Monday morning, thinking that this is unusual, he stopped to talk with the driver.

The officer quickly realized the person in the car was a country superstar Randy Travis. The officer also learned that a strong odor of alcohol was coming from the machine and open a bottle of wine on the passenger seat. The agent went on to note that the more they talked, the more slurred speech was Travis.

Travis said the officer, he was arguing with his girlfriend and tries to return to his ranch in Tioga, which was about 20 km.

"Mr. Travis did not know of his whereabouts and asked me to take him home," said the agent.

Tom Reedy with the Department of Denton County Sheriff's officers said that Sanger was taken to Denton, where he was booked into county jail at 1:30 am Monday.

"They have you in jail for at least four hours, time to sober up," said Reedy of the Class C misdemeanor for which Travis had been enclosed in quotation marks.

Travis was released a few hours after he was ordered.

"I apologize for having led after the festive evening Super Bowl. I am willing to take responsibility and accountability, and apologize for their actions," said Travis through his publicist Monday afternoon.

Stadium incident in September

Travis collapsed in September last year during a speech at Huguley Memorial Center Gala The 18th Annual Heart Crystal. In Burleson Star, the singer was in the middle of singing his hit song "Three wooden crosses" when he stopped and said something about her view of the vocal cords.

Then he tried to join again, but he stopped, worked, and "pushed forward" on the front side of the scene, witnesses said.

Travis later left the stage, giving a boost.

His publicist said the drug allergy dehydration and over-the-counter contributed to its collapse last year.
