We furnished our entire house for $675

I grew up in Southern California, where everything is so expensive that only supposed to work until they are 70. Imagine my surprise when I joined my husband in the State of Washington and discovered the real garage sale. This was only the beginning of my quest to offer our home - cheap - as possible.

In California, my employer sold the refurbished headquarters and we saw two large metal desks, two large wardrobes, and six chairs for $ 1 each. We also bought five framed photos for $ 1 each. A friend gave me his small wooden desk, when she moved into a studio and can not accommodate it. We use it as a sewing table.

We bought a king size mattress in a factory shop directly for $ 150. She is an orphan of a whole, so it was a bargain. We put him on the floor for maximum back support and maximum savings. My husband is still using the toilet her parents gave her when she moved. I have my roommate comfortable for free when a friend has fallen.

Two of our neighbors left their couches in front of the lawn when they moved, and now grace our living room. I bought four for $ 25 sale rack to set the home improvement store. We noticed a flat-screen TV and stand for sale in the neighbor's yard and tore them, and $ 350. My husband got our table at a garage sale for € 10 A friend of mine gave me a rocking chair that I had admired Bazaar. Our final tables are actually standing up during the night we found abandoned on the street.

Our dining room set was a wedding gift. My husband got our kitchen cabinets of his employer, who wanted them. My husband bought our home gym equipment at garage sales for a total of $ 50. Our comfortable cabin is my home became my parents.

We found our porch swing left by the bins in a large apartment on the last day of the month. I found our chairs and tables on the deserted road in a camper.

All I do to give our house cheap, but nice is to keep an eye out for bargains. It also helps that we lack a pick-up processes that can take on short notice. I was amazed at how good furniture becomes abandoned when people do not want to move. We patrol the streets and garbage cans at the cozy apartment complexes at the end of each month.
