Another tragedy touches Lamar Odom

Boy involved in Lamar Odom’s car accident dies - By now you've probably heard of SUV roll-over last Thursday that saw a car service hired by Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom (notes) into a motorcyclist in the city of New York. Odom was not to drive, but it was his rented truck that crashed into a motorcyclist who then crashed into a 15 year old boy.

It turns out that the boy, a pedestrian who died of injuries in the accident. TMZ reported that the child died Friday and his funeral was held Monday. Odom, who was in New York for the funeral of his cousin was "devastated" by the news, according to TMZ. Early Tuesday morning, he tweeted this:

This is the latest in a long series of tragedies to hit Odom unfair. Earlier this year, he admitted that his father was a former heroin addict. His mother died of colon cancer when Odom was still in elementary school, and in 2006 her younger son Jayden died of SIDS while sleeping in his crib.

Returning to his hometown for burial and other involuntary merge something like this is incredibly sad.

Hence, there is not much to say other than to note that our thoughts are with everyone involved in this terrible accident.
